Best way to sell a timeshare!

We’re at the crossroads of how to go about selling our timeshare. WE thought at the time it was a good investment but, with life changes that followed we were unable to put it to use. So, with that in mind, we’ve done the following things- Word of mouth, local paper, advertising co.(waste of $$, we did it twice), met with co. that claims to buy timeshares ( no $$ loss on that venture). WE may have to get in touch with the Resort and go through that way but, come on who wants to pay out 20+% depending on the agent you go through! So, is Craig’s List the correct place to list this or Can you guys help us out and give us some suggestions on some REPUTABLE SITES to go through. I think I may check with our friend/Real Estate friend. Here’s what I can tell you- Are particular unit is @ Sunrise Ridge Resort Pigeon Forge, TN just outside Gatlinburg/Smokey Mts. in Tennessee! though they have a total of 5 places to rent. The market sucks right now it’s defintely a buyers market! we may wait for the market to do better then try again later. WE’ve tried quite a few things like local paper, advertising co’s, word of mouth and no luck! The Resort Rents it out but, we’re not seeing any of that $$ and we are middle class and most of our friends/ family are on tight budgets due to the economy and other issues so, we can’t rent it out ourselves.
