im italian and live in Paris. Well… first of all SPARE YOURSELF Milan: its ugly, unless u got some crave on shopping, and veeeeeeeeeeery expensive. A night in a 3 stars hotel in Paris , but also in Rome and l guess in Madrid as well, its around the 60 € euros per person. Thats a pain, considering how weak is the $ comparing to our currency. A not too fancy dinner in Paris n Rome is about 40 € per person.

Currently we have 2 timeshares and not using Cab San lucas one. I would like to sell it as quick as possible. Without using online timeshares company how can I sell it fast. I’ve used online timeshare sales companies and they are not very reliable. Any suggestion?

Question by Eve: How would a timeshare be divided in a California divorce?
California is a community property state, so if a divorcing couple owners a timeshare could one spouse pay the remaining balance owed, and the other spouse get sole use of timeshare? Or would spouse who is responsible for remaining balance get sole use of it? Would timeshare be liquidate, -if a couple could agree, would a Judge allow any of the above?

I understand the best way may be to find a broker relies on a commission if the timeshare sells. Most want fees upfront and they can range from .00 to 0.00 or more. This particular timeshare system allows you to exchange or visit most any where in the world. The maintainence fee is killing us-since we can’t afford to travel anymore. We are only asking 00.00 or obo–the system is available for 20 years. Ideas?

Friday, June 8, 2007 was traveling day. It was a LONG day. Carl and I had stayed out too late the night before and attempted to pack up before going to bed. I still had many things to pack before leaving. Carl had an earlier flight than Jim and me. We left the timeshare about 20 minutes too late causing Carl to miss his flight. We didn’t take this limousine but passed by it as we packed our rental car.

In hindsight, it would have been better if we had dropped Carl off at the airport first. Then Jim and I could have returned the rental car. That would have prevented Carl from missing his flight home.

There are a lot of scam artists who ask for an up-front fee to cover their “marketing costs”. There is no guarantee that they will ever sell your timeshare. And, if they’re being paid up-front, they have no incentive. Any ideas?

I bet they didn’t tell you that a timeshare is like buying a car. It depreciates the minute the ink dries. For that reason the government doesn’t allow timeshare companies to offer timeshares as investments.

I don’t have any suggestions other than those programs I have seen advertised on tv. Have you tried selling it back to the company? Also you could advertise on www.craigslist.org I sold a rental house I owned sight unseen within 3 hours. Maybe you will get lucky.

The deeded perpetual time share is in North Conway, New Hampshire, at the height of fall foliage season, Columbus Day week in October. The Resort will not help us to sell it as a resale, so we will need a reliable firm to do it for us. We do not want to be waiting for years. Try and give it away and watch your friends run. Vegas might be a little easier but you will only sell it at a dime on the dollar so I would never hire someone to sell it for me at those odds.

A lot of times it is not worth it. Though today they have better programs than in the past. Research it very well before buying. If you know others who own one, ask them about their time share and if they recommend the company they bought their’s from. Do a google search on the company you’re looking at to see if others have posted any complaints or compliments about the them.
