Any bad experience to share when selling on the classified ads ?

I tried to sell a couple of used items online. When someone call to enquire I felt that I have to explain the conditon of my commodity, but to be met with freaks who thinks that I’m some idiot who either can’t describe what I am selling or his imagination of the advert. ran wild before he get the real picture, and starts telling you how not serious you are and so on…………s********* If you are me what will you do?

Are you saying some guy called about something you wanted to sell and told you that you didn’t know all the information you needed to? OK what a dork :P People complain about EVERYTHING. I would of hung up on him right away, you don’t have to sell your item to him. If you feel that you didn’t provide enough information you could re-do the ad. Or write out the information for the item and then when people call you have the info right there. If you are trying to sell online I would NEVER EVER provide a phone number. I would provide my email adress, or even two if I had them. If they can find your information online they can email you if they are intrested. Again with the written information before hand. Just copy and paste each time. I still wouldn’t give out a phone number til a person seems really intrested then you could do that to offer even more info.

My dad asked me to sell his truck for him. I put an ad in the paper a few days ago and listed my adress. Friday the street was lined with people and I had neighbors complaining about all the cars. I should of put the ad online and let them respond through email!

Good luck and have a great day
