True advice from Gene and Timeshare Relief. It takes some extra effort to sell your timeshare, especially if it is not in one of the more popular areas. There are buyers out there tho' looking for and snatching up the good deals. Current timeshare owners in particular are adding on to their vacation spots. List your timeshare for sale in all the free places and post an ad at your resort. My Dad sold 2 of his timeshares using the services of www.TimeshareAdventures.com. Buyers like that site because they can purchase without having to pay commissions or closing costs. They also provide videos of their timeshare owners' resorts and their locations to help potential buyers visualize your offer.

Selling, donating and renting out a timeshare at this time is very difficult given the sheer number of timeshare units for sale. There is not much disposable income out there from potential timeshare buyers. Also, buyers cannot simply visit your timeshare. They have to take it on faith that your timeshare is decent. Most will not be that trusting.

Depends on the resort you own. It doesn't hurt to try craigslist but it is not an effective selling tool for timeshares (doesn't hurt to try though).
The most effective way to sell is research and working with a good company.
I made a successful sale of my Mystic Dunes timeshare (Orlando) using sellmytimesharenow.com
Here is the research I did before choosing a company
1. I checked the BBB report on the company
2. I made them provide traffic and offer reports
3. I acted like a buyer on search engines and only inquired with easy to find, top ranked companies
4. I searched online for complaints about the company.
All this took me a couple hours (the final decision took days!)
I also posted on free sites at the same time and recommend you do the same as well.
I wish you the best in your venture!

Contact the place where you have the time share and see what their bylaws say about selling before doing anything. You might be able to go through the owners of the property where the time share is and have them help you sell it and if allowed, contact a real estate agent for further assistance.

try offerring double the commission to the agent that sold you the time share...they will put the other ones aside and try to push yours a little harder.
good luck, they are a hard sell
