Just wondering how many people have successfully sold their timeshare and how long did it take you? And who’s done the legal stuff?
I own a timeshare, along with 20 free weeks to use. However, I would like to make good use of them and sell them out. Any ideas?
My husband sold a timeshare last year. He got it in a divorce settlement from his exwife. We filed our taxes and reported the loss, but do we need to file state taxes or anything in the state the timeshare was located in (Hawaii)? We live in Texas and have lived here for several years. I told him I thought the taxes on timeshares didn’t have much to do with income tax, but does anyone know what to do? We asked two tax preparers who did not know.
I have a 2bd, 2ba timeshare we bought for around 10,000 and dont use at all. How can I get maybe even half that for it? We don’t use and are not going to use, should I sell or would it be worth keeping for the kids?

My family has a two-bedroom time share unit at the Marriott Grand Ocean Resort in Hilton Head Island, SC, during prime season – August. We are looking to sell our unit. Does anyone have suggestions on how to best sell the unit?
I know a lot about timeshares because I used to process contracts for a timeshare company.
What I don’t know is how one timeshare company compares to another and how to shop for what is best.
Am I looking for my favorite locations? Transferability? Number of locations? I can figure out my cost options myself, I just want to know what else other owners watch for or wish they had.
I have a timeshare in Orlando that I want to get rid of.
I think that I can go to an office supply store, purchase a "quit claim" form and fill it out. Get it notarized, then pay to file it where the county where the timeshare is. Can I do this and avoid one of those timeshare closing services and/or attorney who will charge me a ridiculous amount.
It’s in New Hampshire and I will no longer be using it. I have it during the 2nd week of June. Thank you.

Why people want to sell timeshare at ebay so cheap?
Will be meeting with timeshare rescue to discuss selling my time share in Virginia. Anyone has done business with this company?
Are there companies that are better to sell with than others? How much does it cost to sell?
I have come across 2 ways. One way, asks for 0 up front for "ad" fees to post it on their web site. ( I am not entirely trusting of this), I have also seen sites for timeshare brokers who get commission after its sold. Which may be costly also. Which is the best? I’m not really trying to make any money off of it and I already know I may get far less than what I paid for it and to a point.. that is fine. I just dont want to keep paying for it in the future. HELP!!! ….and if you have any horror stories I would love to hear them, at least I know the worst I’m in for. Thanks
Ps. I have a deeded timeshare, where I’ll own it after (seemingly) a trillion payments. (boy… what were WE thinking)
