Bought a Bluegreen timeshare with good intentions but haven’t been able to use it at all so the money is being wasted. I would love to sell it, but most companies who say they will list timeshares want to charge ridiculous fees up-front with no guarantee of a sale.

Does anybody know the cheapest and quickest way to get rid of/sell a Bluegreen timeshare?

If there is a mail box or a community bulletin board at your home resort, you can put a “For sale” sign. This will pressure the developer specially if they sell it for ,000 USD and you offer it for ,000. Sometimes on the fine print of some sale agreements says that the developer has the first right to buy if your place is ever sold. I have heard of developers paying the money (as long as is not too much) just to take the sign out.

To resale or rent a timeshare is a hard task, the basic rule is not to pay money up-front, don’t be another victim of a scam.

Unfortunately over 50% of people that really need to sell their timeshare falls for these resale scams where they charge money upfront and less than 10% of them use their only real option which is to post it or offer it trough free advertising options as much and as many sites as they can (it is ok to pay a few dollars to post in a great place but no more that to ).

Timeshares do not have resale value and in most situations you would take a loss in what you paid for, as they resale for less than 00 USD.

You pay an overprices amount, plus maintenance fees, to own some place for a week, and if you cant go that week, you lose… and if you want to go someplace else, you lose.

Question by John L: What are the eligibility requirements for a timeshare tour?
I live in Orlando and would like to get free tickets to Disney or at least Universal Studios, or even cash for going on one of those timeshare tours I have read so much about. So I spent a long time doing online research but for some reason there is no clear answer to this question. Specifically, will they let Florida residents go on the tour or is it only for out of state people who are on vacation? Also, do they do anything to actually verify that you meet the minimum income level?

I think it will depend a lot on which place you choose to visit. They do have different for people from various states and I don’t think you could guarantee they would not check on your info. They will very likely check on the spot for a drivers license and credit card. You might try a place in Daytona so at least you are from out of town.

I recently put a down payment on a timeshare in Mexico but changed my mind 4 days later. I notified by credit card company and they are helping me dispute it but I was wondering how binding the contract is considering it was signed in Mazatlan Mexico. Is there a grace period to cancel without any penalty? If my credit card company is able to get the payment from going thru am I home free? What can the people I bought the timeshare people do to me legally? What are my rights? They told me I can’t cancel the only thing I can do is down grade the timeshare purchase to a less expensive one or forfeit the down payment? Do you have to be a certain age to buy a time share in Mazatlan Mexico?

betterwayvacations.net Prior to purchasing our Global Resorts membership, we toured a timeshare presentation at the Grand Mayan Palace in Nuevo Vallarta (just north of Puerto Vallarta). Wow… what an incredible place… We had a nice breakfast and a beautiful tour of the resort. The rooms are incredible and words can’t describe the pool area. Second largest pool in Latin America (I think) is what was stated. The “lazy river” allows you to circum-navigate the entire area, at a nice leisurely pace, as you float over the gentle rapids. A nice way to spend the day for sure! We didn’t buy the timeshare but instead found our luxury resort membership (GRN) for a fraction of the cost. And NOW, we can stay at this resort, and over 5000 others world-wide, for as little as 8 to 9 per unit per week. im italian and live in Paris. Well… first of all SPARE YOURSELF Milan: its ugly, unless u got some crave on shopping, and veeeeeeeeeeery expensive. A night in a 3 stars hotel in Paris , but also in Rome and l guess in Madrid as well, its around the 60 € euros per person. Thats a pain, considering how weak is the $ comparing to our currency. A not too fancy dinner in Paris n Rome is about 40 € per person.

California is a community property state, so if a divorcing couple owners a timeshare could one spouse pay the remaining balance owed, and the other spouse get sole use of timeshare? I understand the best way may be to find a broker relies on a commission if the timeshare sells. Most want fees upfront and they can range from .00 to 0.00 or more. This particular timeshare system allows you to exchange or visit most any where in the world. The maintainence fee is killing us-since we can’t afford to travel anymore. We are only asking 00.00 or obo–the system is available for 20 years. Ideas?

can the loan in mexico if in default go against your credit in the states…..if not just forget about it, they will find another sucker to take it over

Friday, June 8, 2007 was traveling day. It was a LONG day. Carl and I had stayed out too late the night before and attempted to pack up before going to bed. I still had many things to pack before leaving. Carl had an earlier flight than Jim and me. We left the timeshare about 20 minutes too late causing Carl to miss his flight. We didn’t take this limousine but passed by it as we packed our rental car.

In hindsight, it would have been better if we had dropped Carl off at the airport first. Then Jim and I could have returned the rental car. That would have prevented Carl from missing his flight home.

Is it really worth it to buy into time share? Considering all the fees and payments, even becoming a member of RCI, is it worth all the money to buy into timeshare?

Some deals have you purchase a deed for a week or more at one resort. You own it and can use it, sell it, gift it, or put it in your will for your children or whoever. Is it a scheme or is it actually worth it?

A lot of times it is not worth it. Though today they have better programs than in the past. Research it very well before buying. If you know others who own one, ask them about their time share and if they recommend the company they bought their’s from. Do a google search on the company you’re looking at to see if others have posted any complaints or compliments about the them.
