We’re a young couple who were talked into buying a timeshare. We feel that it is not worth the money we spent for it and we keep paying the maintenance fees. we already listed our timeshare with a couple of places. They promised to sell it in no time. But once they got their money we didn’t hear from them again. We’re going broke. If anyone has any idea how to get rid of it. or any advice at all would be appreciated.
Don’t send money to anyone….. We bought two timeshares at 40% of the developers price from the resale market. That’s not good news for you….. but you can sell them without paying money upfront.
There are many legit brokers (but… speak to many before you pick one). Too many have no idea what they’re doing or are just poor at what they do.
A 2nd avenue is eBay. There are many timeshares sold through them…. Even if you don’t want to sell it on eBay.. you may find a legit broker to sell it for you.
One last idea. Many developers have resale departments. They work very well (at least the major companies). You just will get less cash for your deed vs. other independent dealers.

we sold our weeks on ebay. It was great. Maybe you can sell your weeks and still keep the time share! Good luck…

well if you still have financing on it, you have to sell for what you owe! if it is all paid off and you want a broker, you should try timesharehotdeal.com (I have heard good things about their brokers). I am sorry to hear about your experience so far!
