For the most part, time share investments are a very poor investment unless you are dedicated to the "week" you buy. Their value generally doesn’t appreciate as well in an up market, and they depreciate faster in a down market. Under today’s IRS guidelines, they do not offer the same tax benefit as they did in their heyday in the 1980s. They are usually quite difficult to sel for many of those reasons. Yes, the maintenance fees stay with you. Time Shares in popular ski areas are the best investment value, high-end resort areas second, as an owner can actually make a few dollars on the rental of the unit.
I could never really see the benefit to them. For all the related costs, you could go and spend a week or two at the best hotel in the area, whenever you wanted to, without the initial investment and being tied down?
timeshares are stupid
why would you pay for something that you don’t even own?
its a sucker-buy
If you search for timeshares on ebay you will find thousands of timeshares for sale.
Most bids are $1.
They just want you to take over the maintenance fees and future payments.
Sad to see how people can lose thousands when they go on vacation – just because they have impulsive behavior.

you can if you find a fool how much do you want
no but they have only limited value; it is like having
a movie pass but only for movies at 4 in the morning.
time shares are ownership of real estate for x weeks of
the year and often, only specific weeks.
I would guess that only 1 in 100 time shares cert has
any liquid value.
