I have a timeshare in florida and we never use it and the bill every month is starting to be a nuisance. And every time i call the timeshare place to see what i can do to sell it, they tell me that i should give them more of my money to sell it for me. I was wondering if there’s a cheaper (free would be great) way to sell it since i live in ohio and don’t have the money to go down there personally to try to sell it.
A vacation timeshare tour is a form of advertising used by many timeshare resorts to encourage individuals to consider purchasing a timeshare ownership or vacation club membership interest.
Most timeshare tours consist on the minimal 90-minute income presentation of the timeshare destination or sales center, guided by a salesman, an present of some sort of snack or meal, and ending with one or a lot more salesmen (and usually the sales manager) encouraging and also pressuring for any buy. The company sending the guest towards the timeshare destination generally receives some sort of referral charge, which has resulted in a large number of corporations that deliver timeshare tours as an incentive.
Timeshare Exchange is often confused with Timeshare Sales. RCI is in the business of timeshare exchanges. It does not develop or sell timeshares. Customers who buy a timeshare with an RCI-affiliated developer have the option to become a paid member of RCI. Such membership entitles them to exchange (swap) their timeshare with other members. RCI facilitates and fulfills the exchange.Although RCI does not develop or sell timehares, it does sell Points Program to use in the RCI affiliate resorts network. More information about the Points programs that RCI sells can be found on the company’s website. Also Wyndham Worldwide, RCI’s parent company does develop and sell timeshares having several resorts around US which are listed in RCI’s resort directory. Timeshare firms make a decision which nations they are going to accept visitors from. If married or cohabiting being a couple, each spouses or partners must attend. Singles are qualified differently. Guys have to typically be married, while women can typically get away with getting single (and often they even lower the minimum income necessity).
This is since from the perception that it really is less complicated to advertise the timeshare into a woman than it is to some man.
Each and every destination normally makes it possible for one tour per year.Commonly a timeshare tour is thrown in as either a bonus or possibly a necessity for buying some product from a business, often one that may be vacation related. Telephone surveys, vacuum cleaner salesmen, and additional, offer incentives to customers who are prepared to listen to them this sort of being a “3 day/ 2 night time stay” in Las Vegas, San Francisco, or other well-known getaway destinations. These incentives are, in reality, a commitment to bring a timeshare tour.
Travel companies leverage their present contracts with timeshare hotels to offer additional competitive holiday deals, this sort of as no cost hotel keep, present tickets, and so on… These will generally be provided within the type on the “$99 dollar holiday getaway package”, which will call for a numerous night time remain, tickets, etc while using requirement that the traveler qualify for and acquire the timeshare tour.
Some timeshare tours can extend good beyond the amount of time originally quoted to the tour and can entail the application of high amounts of pressure by various product sales agents. Sometimes, a totally free advantage will likely be denied or delayed till the guest agrees to pay for from the vacation resort, but that is only the situation when the corporation is not a credible a person.

Since you’re trying to sell your timeshare, this may be information you can utilize later on down the road if trying to sell it gets to be too much. (I was in your position 4 years ago.)
I just got rid of my timeshare for good and I can’t believe it, so I am telling anyone I can that there is hope. I had a timeshare at the Palm Beach Shores Resort in S. Florida. I paid over $13,000 for it and started trying to sell it in 2006. With deed in hand, I contacted a rip off company named http://www.vacationregister.com after seeing Ed McMahan on the commercials. They took hundreds of dollars from me with a guarantee of selling it in 6 months! Come 2010-they won’t even return my emails and they’ve changed their phone numbers, but they’re still signing people up to sell their timeshares! Scoundrels! There are plenty of companies that will promise to sell your timeshare for an up-front fee.
Anyhow, I finally got out of my timeshare last month! I didn’t sell it unfortunately-BUT I no longer have maintenance fees either….so technically I’m a winner. I stumbled upon this website when looking for help. It’s called http://www.Money4timeshares.com and I called the number on their website and I spoke with Robbie Pickel. He told me if my timeshare had value that he’d pay me for it.
Answer to your question about selling it: YOUR TIMESHARE MAY BE WORTH MONEY-SO CALL AND ASK HIM HOW MUCH HE WOULD PAY YOU FOR YOUR TIMESHARE.
My timeshare had $0.00 value (which is what every other company told me) so I asked him if he knew how I could get out of it. He told me I could give it away through a "giveaway program" if I paid the closing costs. Five weeks later I received a letter in the mail saying I am no longer a timeshare owner. I thought it was too good to be true, so I called the resort asking about my ownership. Gave them my name and they were asking me to spell it, etc, said they were having trouble finding me-GREATEST FEELING IN THE WORLD! They had no record of me being an owner there. I can not praise Robbie enough for helping me after everything I’ve been through with this horrible timeshare and I contacted tons of companies that wanted thousands of dollars to transfer the stupid thing out of my name. Robbie did it for me for $600. A small fee to be FREE forever! This timeshare would have been passed on to my children, for God’s sake. I hope you get out of your timeshare soon, there is no better feeling.

The chances of you selling this Edsel are slim to none.
Anyone with any lick of sense knows time shares are a bad investment
Nope…its a giant ripoff.
The other "gotcha" in the timeshare business is that if you buy upfront from the dealer, you will take a massive loss on the back end. You need to do several exhaustive (free) searches of sites trying to sell timeshares exactly like yours to prepare yourself (craigslist and ebay are okay for a start).
In most cases you will only get pennies on the dollar (esp. now and in FL)…essentially giving them the timeshare in exchange for getting rid of the maintenance fees. Anyone who promises you more and demands money upfront is going to rip you off.
