We own a deeded timeshare in Branson Missouri, its a 2 bedroom lockout, pay maintenance fees every other year. Is there a legitiment place out their to sell this? We have been ripped off once already by a timeshare selling place.

I made a successful sale of my Mystic Dunes timeshare (Orlando) with http://www.sellmytimesharenow.com
Here is the research I did before choosing a company:
I used Google.com and typed in MANY key word BUYER terms (buyer terms like "buy timeshare" "buy (resort name) timeshare" or "buy (resort state) timeshare") to find the company that actual buyers would most likely find first. I wrote down the company url’s and did the following research on the companies I found:
1. I checked the BBB report on the company
2. I made them provide traffic and offer reports
3. I searched online for complaints about the company.
All this took me a couple hours (the final decision took days!)
I also posted on free sites at the same time and recommend you do the same as well.
….
there are probably a handful of companies that are legit but since I don’t own a timeshare I personally dont know of any
i would suggest you keep searching and finding one that is reputable and before any exchange is done be sure to do a detailed check on that company
I’m sorry to break the news to you, but I do not believe there are any legitimate companies that sell timeshares.
You may want to try eBay.
Good luck.
Yes, there are actually 2 legitimate timeshare sites that I have heard of. You may connect with these companies by calling the management of your timeshare unit or a local timeshare management company and asking for the site names (sorry, the names of the sites are at my office and I am working from home today). I have had good success helping others buy and sell timeshares, and you just need to look very closely at what the site fees are.
The two I am thinking of have a "member fee" that you pay, and a small handling fee for the sale (they review all paperwork and make sure it is correct for the property’s locale).
Good luck~
If you do not have the ability to stay at other resorts within your timeshare system, it will be very difficult to sell for any decent money. Do not ever pay an upfront fee. If they don’t sell it, they still get your fee. Find one that charges a fee only if they are able to sell.
To resale or rent a timeshare is a hard task, the basic rule is not to pay money up-front, don’t be another victim of a scam. There are some free classified adds where you can post it and get some results:
