Can I sell a timeshare if I owe money on it?

Husband & I have owned timeshare for 6 years and owe a little over k on it.
It’s a deeded timeshare @ Harborside Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island, Bahamas.

We did the financing directly through the property through Starwood.
I’m afraid that we cant’ sell it because we owe money on it and I’m afraid if I go through one of those internet timeshare brokers like sellyourtimeshare.com will scam me in the end. Starwoods mailing address is in Florida. I was thinking I could treat this like real estate, put it on the market, go through and agent and have the moneys be transferred through a title company. Is this how it would work?

Also, what timeshare web sites offer commission and listing free advertising until after the timeshare sells.

Would it be possible; to sell it for under what we owe (being the market stinks and its saturated) and have a few thousand dollars left to pay after we sell it or at closing?

How can I sell my timeshare ?!?

There seems to be no market anymore for these duds. My Ex bought it long ago & now I’m stuck w/ the yearly maintenance. I need to get rid of it.

I was told that you cannot legally sell a timeshare – Is this true?

They said the original purchaser’s name would remain on it & therefore would be liable for it if the "new owner" did not pay the yearly maintenance fees.

How do I sell a Timeshare without an agent?

I own a timeshare at South Lake Tahoe, Tahoe Beach & Ski Club, Studio, Swing Season, 1 week per year. Assessment fees approximately 5. per year, property taxes approximately .00 per year. Purchased in July 1990, paid over ,000, now you can’t even give them away, why is that?

Should I sell if a share increased $100 in just one day?

I’m talking about RTP here. Since I didn’t own any shares in it, I’m sell shorting. It’s strange coz it’s not going down with the rate I expected. I don’t understand why it isn’t going down coz any investor in their right mind would be selling on the spot, wouldn’t they?

So the real question is: Why isn’t the price going down (or at least going down fast enough for a quick buck!)?

Relax guys. I’m a complete newbie and I’m doing this with a Virtual Stock Exchange program.
As for the stock, it’s today’s highest gainer and it’s the one looking like it’s going down.
There is no news or insider transactions (which I think is very curiours and I’m looking the company up on the internet now).
(It’s at 440 now, made 200$ so far :D )
